Two Vest employees, Candace Green and Susan Gosselin, have accepted board positions in local trade groups, representing Vest's commitment to enhancing professional education and networking in Louisville's communication community.

Candace Green, executive account manager at Vest, was elected president of the Louisville chapter of the Direct Marketing Association (LDMA), a national group that helps promote excellence and education in Internet, mail and telephone marketing. In her role as president, she will lead the board for two years, overseeing membership recruitment, monthly educational programming, member services, sponsorship and the chapter finances.

Susan Gosselin, director of Public Relations for Vest, has been elected vice president of programs for the Louisville chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, a group dedicated to the betterment of public relations. In her one-year post, she will plan programs, solicit speakers and secure venues for all the chapters monthly meetings, mixers and skillshops. Gosselin has a long history of involvement with the IABC chapters in Louisville and Nashville, having held positions including VP of communications, president elect, president and Landmarks of Excellence Award Show committee member.

"We encourage all our employees to join trade groups, and take their ongoing professional education seriously," said Rita Vest, president at Vest. "We have employees who regularly attend Social Media Club, Public Relations Society of America, Advertising Federation of Louisville and the Louisville Graphic Design Association, as well. We're proud to have employees, though, who are willing to donate their extra time to true leadership positions in these groups. It's a lot of extra work for them, but the skills they learn in these positions ultimately mean better service for our clients," she added.
