With building three now open, Vest employees can say goodbye to cramped quarters and short storage space. This month, construction was completed on a new Vest building, built directly behind Vest's main building at 3007 Sprowl Road. The building adds another 3,200 square feet of space, which is now occupied by employees from the company's digital media, public relations, technical writing/design and account service divisions. Offices feature specialty hardwood floors, recessed lighting, radiant floor heat and the same kind of classic contemporary furnishings seen throughout the company. The first floor is devoted entirely to garage space for the company vehicles, the new company gym, and storage for Vest's digital media studio, which often needs extra space for production equipment. A redesign of the company?s parking lot is now in progress, which will feature more than 30 spaces and integrated plantings of trees and flowers.

"We've designed this new building to be expandable," said Larry Vest, chief operating officer of Vest, who managed the expansion. "If the company continues to grow, we have plans already drawn up to build a connector building between this space and the main building."

This latest expansion follows last year's purchase of a building on College Avenue, around the corner from Vest's main building. This 1,600 square foot, mission-style home was converted to an office building by its previous owners. Vest purchased the building to house its creative staff. Between the new construction and the creative building, Vest has expanded its facilities from 3,500 square feet to 8,300 square feet, total.
