For some of you that didn’t turn on your television, play on the internet, read the newspaper, or talk to anyone last week you may be shocked when I tell you that we lost three celebrity icons last week.  First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett and tragically Michael Jackson.  These three people made enormous contributions to pop culture, but many people are forgetting their impact on the advertising world.

While the news media is focused more on the tragic loss of some of our major pop icons the fact still remains that our economy stinks.  Unfortunately, the phrase “out of sight, out of mind” does not apply to the health of our economy or the lack of coverage it is getting at the moment.  Sorry to rain on your parade.  However, if your target audience is Generation Y or Senior Citizens there is a silver lining to be noted.
