Good, Solid, Honest Creativity - Priceless

As many articles that we read today, “researchers” are showing that most people would rather pay a fee for unlimited programming than to watch commercials.  I kind of find this ridiculous.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my DVR.  I love the DVR for “taping” programs while I can’t be home or to record one program while I watch another.  Yes, I do fast forward through the commercials, but I still find certain nostalgia in watching a television show in “real-time” with commercials and all.

When budgets get tight, the leash on marketing and advertising gets suffocating.  However, cutting advertising is not the answer.  For example, when the technology bubble burst earlier this decade, Apple continued investing in innovation to keep their new products in the forefront of consumers’ minds.  In the article “Budget Crunch: Innovation’s the Only Way Out”, Lisa Bradner states that “Apple’s continued focus on branded innovation paved the way for the launch of products such as the iPod and new business models as the Apple stores and iTunes.”

Product Placement: Surgical Edition

I had a very surreal moment while watching the Grey’s Anatomy finale last week, and it wasn’t just ***SPOILER ALERT*** the crazy drama of having two main characters coding at the final second.
